I know, I know. Fall hasn't even officially started yet and here I am already talking about next spring. But focusing on upcoming seasons is the way it works in the fashion and design worlds, and between NY Fashion Week happening right now and Pantone's spring color report announcement a few days ago, I'm feeling all sorts of inspired. In my opinion, Dazzling Blue - the official color of spring 2014 - is actually a shade that works just as well for fall and winter as it will for the warmer months. It's kind of like navy's slightly more exciting, less predictable sister. It reminds me of a nice muted cobalt, and although it's admittedly not my favorite color in Pantone's report (I'm feeling the grey-toned Paloma myself), you really can't go wrong with blue in any shade.
What are your thoughts on Dazzling Blue? If you're a fan, would you wear it now, or will you wait until next spring?
I agree that it's the best color in that report. Radiant Orchid is pretty good, too, but that might be a hard one for some skin tones.
ReplyDeleteI will wear it! Well, i don't really like colors of blue. But, dazzling blue is look more cheer up! I like it! :)

I actually like quite a few colors from that report, they seem a little subtle which works for my personal style ;) but this is a pretty nice collection you curated. :)
ReplyDeleteI've never been a slave to fashion. If I like it I'll wear it.
ReplyDelete"Dazzling" Blue is a pretty shade and probably one that I already have in my wardrobe under the nomenclature of something like: Sapphire Blue or maybe pale cobalt blue. The fashion industry is always coming up with new names for old colors.
*giggle* I just finished a post for next week talking about the fall and spring colors. =0)
ReplyDeleteI love all blues, so I am loving this dazzling blue, but I also have a favorite on the spring list other than pretty blue. Can you guess what it is?
I like it...lovely color! I will use it in my next polyvore set...!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that color! I would like to wear that watch and those flats.
ReplyDeleteI love this color and would totally wear it in the fall and winter!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the polish and the watch.
ReplyDeleteThis shade of blue is one I think works year round... although I'm more of a navy girl, I think it would be fun to mix the two together, maybe in a fun mani :)

Love love love the hat and the belt! I love this shade of blue.
ReplyDeleteBlue is my favourite! Colours must cycle through, because I'm totally wearing a shirt right now that I bought five years ago that is this exact same colour. I'm glad I've got a one-up on this :)
ReplyDeleteLove that butter London shade, and that cami is super pretty too!

Thanks for your comments everybody! Glad to see some other dazzling blue appreciators. ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that that shade of blue works any time of year. It's gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteFor a long time I avoided wearing blue, because it reminded me of my office days ;-), but I'm slowly adding a few key pieces! Your choices are wonderful. I love that belt!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous selection. Not to mention, stunning colour! I'm so eying blue nailpolish for fall. Just found a stunning one from chanel... and those flats + hat are so darling. What a great way to add fun colour to an outfit!!

I want #3 and #5! My absolute favorite color is blue, and I love every shade! While I wear blue *every* season, I truly think this dazzling shade would be best for Summer. Pastel blue for Spring, a vivid blue for Summer, and dark navy blue for Autumn and Winter!
ReplyDeletemelissa, i thought the color for fall was cobalt? wasn't that you who told us that? maybe i'm confused and don't know what i'm talking about, willis. so blue must be the it color lately. i love blue, so woo hooo i say. :)
ReplyDeleteEmerald for fall 2013, Dazzing Blue for spring 2014. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this color for accessorizing. That polish is great and so is the necklace!
