My fellow obsessive pet lovers, this one's for you. Photographer Lacey Rabalais recently submitted this adorable shoot to us, and we just had to share. That's right you guys, it's a doggy birthday 'pawty,' and it is officially the cutest thing I've seen all year. A doggy dessert table? Doggy birthday hats? A doggy play station? I thought that the mounds of wrapped presents and steaks and cheese we gave Bubby on his birthdays were a big deal, but after seeing this, I think we could have stepped it up! I mean, the design of this rivals our wedding in terms of the thought and work put into it. Lucy dog is one lucky girl.
Lucy dog's mom Aimee designed and put together the event to celebrate Lucy's 2nd birthday. (That's the birthday girl in the top left photo). The 'pawty' included everything from a pup play station for Lucy's furry friends to a dessert table with goodies for both dogs and humans. Aimee had special frisbees printed with the text "Yappy Birthday Lucy," and there were all sorts of playtime activities like hula hoops for the doggies who wanted to show off their mad agility skills, balls and chew toys.
The furry guests enjoyed ice cream cone dog cookies, a doggy cake, bone shaped treats, and "pupcakes." The human attendees got to munch on dog-themed cookies, "pawtato chips," and "hot diggity dogs." So awesome.
For the decor, Lucy's mom chose polka dots for the pattern, and white, red and black for the colors. There were even favor boxes for guests to take home, filled with fire hydrant and dog treats. I'm so impressed with the creativity that was put into the event (for both the dogs and the humans), and love that Lacey put so much care into capturing it on film.
When I'm ready to get another pet in the future, I am so throwing it a pawty.

P.S. Do you have a photo session or project you'd like to submit to Bubby and Bean? Find out how here.
This is simply adorable, i love my dogs i so want to do something cute like this!
ReplyDeleteWow-ee! This is just above and beyond! Lucy is definitely a lucky girl! (Not to mention all the furry friends that were invited.) I don't think any of our animals would stand for this--and if they did I don't think they'd get it (since they are spoiled like it's their birthday everyday teehee). But Lucy and her friends sure do! The pictures are awesome! And everyone looks so happy and cute in their little party hats! Amazing : ]

DeleteWow - controlling toddlers at birthday parties took some doing in my day! Don't think I'd even try to do one of these, although they all look very cute in their "tit-fers" (rhyming Cockney slang for a hat: in full "tit fer tat").
