Months went by where I didn't do a single color love post, and here I am now, expressing my fondness for a color for the second time in two weeks. Maybe it's because the holidays are approaching and I've been perusing the internet and magazines more often than usual looking for gifts and party dresses. Or maybe it's because chilly weather is upon us, and it's just easier to pay attention to details (like the colors of the season) when you're holed up indoors, shivering under a blanket. Whatever the reason, today is all about loving yet another color. And that color happens to be good old fashioned navy blue.
Navy is such a classic color, and although I don't own a lot of it, it's becoming more apparent to me how versatile it is. From fashion to home decor, navy seems to look good with almost any other shade (which sadly, can't be said of my beloved yellow). Even the once taboo pairing of navy with black is suddenly the color combination of the moment. It's sort of the perfect color for fall, all dark and cozy, and looks so crisp for wintertime against neural shades like charcoal grey, beige and white. The goodies above represent some of my favorite navy items that I've discovered over the past couple of weeks. Basically, I'm thinking that I need a lot more navy in my life.

navy has always been one of my favorites! I love how versatile it is - I feel like it can pair well with a lot of other colors. plus there's a richness to it that makes it very appropriate for fall and winter.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a navy fan! Honestly though, I am a fan of every color...but that's beside the point! I always notice the navy version of clothing when choosing tops and whatnot that come in multiple colors. I usually end up choosing a different color because I am almost always wearing denim on my lower half and I'm not a fan of wearing navy with denim. But apparently I don't care sometimes because I still have a fair amount of navy in my closet : ] And this is a beautiful collection here too! I think my favorite is the nail polish. It would look so pretty on my nails!
ReplyDeleteNavy is the one color I've always stayed true to in my liking. Usually my interest in certain colors fade, but there is something about navy that I just adore. It can seem polished, sporty, feminine, cozy, neutral. I especially love it on old VW Beetles and paired with cream in clothing. So pretty!

I love navy, and actually there was a time when all my clothes seemed to be navy. It just sort of happened and I was like, why did I buy only navy things? Actually, I did a post today and I'm wearing navy! Hahah. It's funny how you can just get stuck on a color. Although actually, I've also gone through periods where I seemed to have too many colors and patterns in my closet, none of which went together. I'm a mess. Anyway, I actually sighed over that pillow. Oh Orla.
ReplyDeleteNavy is so classic... I live in blue jeans, so there isn't anything I don't pair it with. Colored denim never does it for me, it's got to be navy.

I'm loving this color for fall! I thought it was going to be a "plum" fall for me but navy has since captured my heart when I got a beautiful navy essie nail polish color in my birchbox. Thanks fo the post, now I need to go find navy pieces to put together for an outfit!
