This has probably been the most winter-y of winter weeks so far here in Chicagoland.  The weather has been a dreary mix of snow and freezing rain, topped off with grey, lifeless skies.  Kind of depressing.  So today seemed like the perfect day to pay tribute to the cheeriest of all the colors: good ol' yellow.  It's funny, because I tend to be such a neutral person (I wear and decorate with a whole lot of grey, black, tan, white, and drab earthy tones), but I have always adored yellow.  It is my very favorite color.  Yellow instantly reminds me of summertime and happiness and bright flowers and all that is right in the world.  And yellow epitomizes sunshine, which I think quite of few of us non-winter people could use a little of right now.  The collection you see above features some of my favorite yellow goodies that I've come across lately.
