The last few weeks have been slow and pretty uneventful for the most part, as they usually are this time of year. January and February, although admittedly my two least favorite months, are always good for down time and appreciating simple pleasures. I'm definitely starting to get cabin fever, but have a trip or two in the works for March. Knowing there is some travel in the near future is always helpful in terms of tiding me over during the winter months.
Did you guys have a good weekend? Mine was nice and chill. I spent Saturday with my dear friend Cheri, and yesterday, Robbie got to stop home again for a brief visit. He watched the Super Bowl; I ate Super Bowl snacks. Just an FYI, buffalo cauliflower bites = amazing. Fellow vegetarians and meat lovers alike - I high recommend them. Here's the recipe. You're welcome.

Buffalo cauliflower?! Sounds kind of like a dream. I'm not a vegetarian but I was for 6 years so I still have vegetarian tendencies and preferences!
ReplyDeleteI did an IG post today too! We didn't even remember the super bowl was on yesterday until I logged into twitter and saw everyone tweeting about it. Then I promptly logged back off and went to make some felt things. Haha. I want that latte right now. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat snaps! I love the green sprouting up through the snow...determined to grow despite the cold! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE your hubby's sign! How sweet was that!? Also love the first quote. I'd be a LOT younger than my real age, that's for sure!!
ReplyDeleteThat note is so sweet, the windwill photo is beautiful, I want to make a tipsy pie, and how cool that you were in Boho magazine!
ReplyDeleteYour boring week is more exciting than an exciting week at my house...lol!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo for all those packages! And all that yummy food :)
That windmill picture, so lovely!!! Someone else was just telling me about Apartmento mag, where do you get it???
ReplyDeleteI found it at Barnes and Noble. :)
DeleteThose Buffalo cauliflower bites look awesome, I'm definitely going to make them in the near future!
ReplyDeleteLovin' all the snapshots (as usual), especially the snow-covered garlic! Buffalo cauliflower...I bet my kids would love that (they like anything buffalo spicey). Thanks for the recipe. Glad you got to spend some time with Robbie (even if it was Super Bowl day).

i'm trying to figure out what your favorite snack is. hooray to sweet personal onstage notes to you, being in a magazine, and pie. boo to long drives, and brown bananas.
ReplyDeleteCool pics, Melissa! We've got snow covered parsely ;-)
ReplyDeleteYour hubby's sign is the sweetest! I'd say your week was pretty amazing!
have a terrific day,
Duni xo
Dude, how old WOULD I be? Probably still in my 20s, but maybe 25 instead of 27. Other days I feel like I'm already in my 30s because I've been married for a while and we own a house. I don't really know! I might pose this question the next time we have a party and see what people say.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog on Saturday afternoon. I was so happy because your blog is something that I had tried to find already a while :) Winter here in Finland is long, cold and dark. It would be very easy NOT to like it. However I`ve decided to take a different kind of an attitude and I think it is a little bit like your attitude too; during these winter months it is good time and possibility to enjoy slower life and small, everyday things in general :)
ReplyDeleteI live in southeastern Indiana and the drive to Chicago is not the best, but I agree that the windfarm is the most interesting.
