Between my travels to Arizona, lots of birthday celebrations, out-of-town guests, and Robbie's winter tour finally winding down, I feel like life has picked up and become interesting again over the last couple of weeks.  I can absolutely appreciate both down time and alone time, but I feel happiest when I'm getting out, being active, and spending quality time with others on a regular basis.  The first two and a half months of this year consisted mainly of working extra hours and spending way too much time indoors in an effort to avoid winter's awful weather.  Aside from once-weekly lunch or dinner dates with friends, business errands, grocery shopping, the occasional yoga session, and my daily coffee shop runs, I wasn't doing much aside from constantly working within in the confines of my house.  Robbie was gone for the vast majority of the first ten weeks of 2013 with the band too, and I was beginning to feel incredibly claustrophobic - and seriously desperate for more regular human contact - by mid-March.  It's been a very welcome change to get to do so much with so many great people over the last couple of weeks. Once the holidays are over, winter becomes a time I almost dread, but once spring starts to arrive, I feel like myself again.  It's still cold here in the Chicago area, but the sun is shining brighter, the days are longer, and I feel so much more motivated.  I'm looking forward to the next few weeks - I have some fun activities planned with friends and with my husband, there are a couple of quick trips in the works, and I'm feeling really inspired work-wise.  April is going to be a great month.

I really start to crave light and warmth. Glad to hear you've had lots of fun outings, and I hope April is a fantastic month for all of us! :)
