It's starting to get hot here in Chicagoland (bloggers talk about the weather/seasons an awful lot, don't we?), which means it's finally time to bust out the shorts. Wooot! Although I'm a dress person the majority of the time, I'm a sucker for a great pair of shorts. I feel like they are the definitive summertime garment. I mean, you can wear dresses and tops and skirts and pants any time of the year, but for the most part, shorts belong solely to this one season. The shorts you see above are some of my current favorites - each has its own distinct style, but still screams summertime.
Do you wear shorts a lot this time of year? What is your summertime garment of choice?

I wish I could be wearing my shorts right now! Sadly, it's still early spring here in Paris - normally by this time of year we have beautifully sunny, warm weather, but this year, I've been in my jacket for most of the spring :( If I were wearing shorts, I'd definitely be in denim cutoffs like pair number 7 :)

I have such a hard time with shorts! I am a dress person (like you!) and I always feel awkward in shorts. I feel like I can never find a pair that fit well. All of that aside, #4 and #7 are super cute.

I'm pretty much a denim kind of gal. I have them in every style...short, bermuda, capri (are those shorts?).

I love #s 1, 2, and 7! I love shorts in the summer too, with tanks and tees and sandals. I'm a casual kind of summer gal. =)
