Trend Alert // The Short Circle Skirt

The Short Circle Skirt // Bubby and Bean
1. Khaki Circle Skirt, Banana Republic ($79.50)  //  2. Pins and Needles Circle Skirt in Blue, Urban Outfitters ($32)  //  3. Muse d'Art Moderne Skirt in Red, Modcloth ($34.99)  //  4. Delicate Hydrangea Circle Skirt, Ruche ($44.99)  //  5. Vintage Olive Circle Skirt, Current Vintage ($28)  //  6. Glamorous Circle Skirt In Denim, ASOS ($23.76)  //  7. Astral Swing Skirt, Anthropologie ($128)

I've been seeing short circle skirts everywhere lately.  And although my ever-growing pregnant belly may be preventing me from wearing them, it's not preventing me from admiring them.  They create a silhouette that is flattering on just about anyone, and they're also great summer-to-fall transition pieces. (Not that I'm anywhere near ready to talk about summer coming to end.)

Are you crushing on the circle skirt trend?  Which is your favorite from the picks above?

  3. That's a great shade of cobalt blue! I get extra excited when a dress has this kind of bottom.

  6. Number 7 is my favourite. I don't wear skirts very often, but that one looks like something I want to wear.

  9. Love this style! It reminds me a lot of the 'skater skirt' style... I've seen the denim one everywhere...it's such a girly take on denim! Cute. www.StingyStyle.net

  17. #3 and #4 are lovely and I wish they were both in blue. ;) Pretty trend... Probably not something I'd wear, as I prefer longer skirts and if I want something shorter, I wear shorts; but they're extremely cute.

  18. I don't see myself wearing the short circle skirt, but I think it's cute on really young girls. They do sometimes look like old-school cheerleading skirts, like that blue one.
I would like to find some longer circle skirts...finding anything these days that comes past mid-thigh feels like victory.

  19. The circle skirt, in all of its lengths, is a style I've loved for years - and the fact that it's now on trend makes it a lot easier to find great styles. I love the astral skirt from Anthropologie, so pretty - and the perfect transitional colour, too!

  20. when I was pregnant with Owen (two years ago now ... yikes!) I got a circle skirt from American Apparel that had a really long band on it, and I was able to wear it until the last two months or so of my pregnancy. i'd just sort of situate it at the bottom of my belly and pull the sides of the skirt until it was even on the bottom!
