Two outfit posts in three days! What? I rarely post more than a few a month, so clearly I'm getting a little crazy this week. But with just a little over a month left to go in this pregnancy, I figured I'd better squeeze in a couple now while I still can. Truthfully, I wouldn't be surprised if this was my last 'My Style' post until after the baby is born. (It's getting hard to even balance myself for long enough to pull on a pair of leggings you guys.) But we'll see...
A few days ago, we drove out to our favorite forest preserve for a late afternoon walk before grabbing dinner. Based on my maternity outfit posts so far, you can probably tell that there are just a few key pieces that I wear on rotation these days. But somehow in the endless of abyss of clothing disorganization that has accumulated in my bedroom (my own wardrobe/room has fallen to the wayside while focusing on the nursery), I discovered this dress that I bought early in the summer, wore once (on the 4th of July), then lost. It doesn't stray much from my usual black tunic and leggings combo, but hey, it's a dress. And that's something. It's actually the ideal dress for going walking and then going out to eat, I have to say. It's the perfect combination of casual and dressy (and also fits quite nicely if you happen to be sporting a baby bump).
As much as I loved getting to wear my lost-then-found dress, my favorite part of this outfit, hands down, was my new Sorel Cate the Great Deco Boots from PlanetShoes.com
The rest of this look was simple: a starred scarf my sister gave me last Christmas, a pretty pair of earrings from my friend Laura at Roots and Feathers, my trusty black leggings, a gold watch and chunky bangle, and a purse that is actually a diaper bag. (It belonged to a friend who recently handed it down to me and I like it so much I may or may not be using it already as a handbag.)
Boots: c/o PlanetShoes // Dress: H&M // Earrings: c/o Roots & Feathers
Leggings: Target // Scarf: gift // Bracelet: gift // Watch: c/o Watchco // Bag: gift
What about you? Have any of you busted out the winter footwear yet?
P.S. One more quick thing... PlanetShoes is giving their customers the opportunity to donate a $10 toy to Toys for Tots this holiday season via their site (details right here). As a thank you, they're rewarding each customer who donates a toy with 200 Planet Rewards points, worth $10 off their next purchase. (Pssst! And today through Friday November 29th, you'll get 400 points!) Pretty cool!

ReplyDeleteI love your circle scarf with the star print!
ReplyDeleteOver here it is absolutely necessary to own a pair of sturdy boots with thick waterproof ribbed soles. Yours look cute :)
You look great!!!! I want those boots!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the boots! I needed a good pair of winter boots yesterday when we tried to put house wrap on the addition...in 20 degrees and wind...yuk!

Cozy! That was pretty much my pregnancy wardrobe: dress, leggings, and comfy boots.
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely handling the third trimester in style! And I love those boots!! Thankfully, I have not had to break out the snow boots yet.
ReplyDeleteLove this look! The scarf and boots are divine. You barely even look pregnant! =)
ReplyDeleteYou are so beautiful! And strangely enough, I don't own any strictly winter shoes - I wear my boots year-round.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 holiday babies .... my youngest was Thanksgiving (Nov 22) and my oldest Christmas/ New Years (Dec 28). fingers crossed for an easy delivery for you! I had lots of stretchy black in my baby wardrobe :) and I still have a dress that I love to wear ... even if my kids are a bit older now!
ReplyDeleteI really like this dress, and I love it even more with the scarf. =0)
ReplyDeleteThe bag is great (awesome that it's a diaper bag).
And thank you for the info on PlanetShoes. It's a great way to support a good cause.
Have a great Thanksgiving,
Kim
Your whole outfit is amazing, however that scarf is... ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. I love scarves with stars on them! I know that's really specific, haha. Thanksgiving will be Jen, my father-in-law and mother-in-law, and I. We'll probably eat dinner together, and than do our own thing (which Jen and I definitely prefer.)
ReplyDeleteOh, and reading "forest preserve" made me smile. I grew up saying that, and here in Utah, they're simply "woods"!
You look fantastic! Those boots are amazing!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful! Happy Thanksgiving:)
ReplyDeletedefinitively beautiful you! enjoy your family time. ;)
ReplyDeleteTwo things. One, that scarf is the cutest and I totally want one. Two, your hair looks AMAZING. Those pregnancy hormones are agreeing with you, lady.
