My Holiday Entertaining Pet Peeve (Triple Roll to the Rescue!)

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Cottonelle, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #CottonelleHoliday http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.

It's true you guys.  Today I'm talking about toilet paper.  Sort of.  More specifically, I'm talking about something that frustrates me endlessly this time of year, that happens to involve toilet paper.  Confused yet?

I love the holidays (I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, by the way!), and I love entertaining during the holiday season.  Robbie and I are both big fans of hosting parties and get-togethers. We even host Christmas for my family at our house every year.  Our place isn't big (and it feels even smaller with this baby on the way), but I really enjoy having family members stay here.  I make a conscious effort to make our home cozy, comfortable, and festive for our guests.  I do the designing and decorating, Robbie does the cooking, and we all hang out, listen to music, play games, and laugh.  It's pretty great.

Here's the thing though...  In our little place are two little bathrooms.  And when there are a lot of people spending time here, the rolls of toilet paper in those little bathrooms have to be changed over and over and over.  Seriously - there are times when I feel like I'm living in the bathroom, working toilet paper changing duty, instead of getting to just relax and enjoy our gatherings.  It might sound silly, but it's my holiday enteratining pet peeve.

I never thought I'd do a post on toilet paper, but when I was invited to head to Target (yes, I know I spend a lot of time in that store) and pick up a pack of Cottonelle Triple Roll to try out, I couldn't resist.  The rolls are three times the size of a regular roll of tp, and the first thing that came to mind was our holiday gatherings.  The thought of having our bathrooms stocked with rolls that last three times longer (which means me only having to refill them a third of the time) was basically the best thing I'd heard all week.  Farewell holiday entertaining pet peeve.

Even if you're not as obsessive as I am about this whole toilet paper changing thing, I bet you can appreciate the feeling of being nice and stocked up with long-lasting rolls for your holiday gatherings. (It's the little things, right?)  If so, head out to your local Target, grab yourself a Cottonelle Triple Roll 12 pack or larger, and you'll get a free box of Kleenex (while supplies last).  Woohoo!  Just click here to print the coupon and you're good to go.

Do you have any holiday entertaining pet peeves, silly or otherwise?  If so, spill it!

  1. LOL - You're blogging about TP! =0)
But really, this is a very valid pet peeve for the host & hostess. When you have guests, it's piece of mind to know that you won't have to be switching out the empty toilet paper rolls all the time.
One of my pet peeves - not having enough towels. When we have guests staying over, I like to know that I have enough bath and hand towels at the ready. It's such a pain when there's no towel around when you need one!

    1. Totally agree with you about towels! We have such a random mix of towels too. Maybe a new set needs to go on my Christmas list. :)

  2. Not a holiday pet peeve, but when I was living together with roommates, I really hated it when they didn't hang up a new roll of paper after finishing one. And when people do hang up a new roll, but the first piece of paper points towards the wall, instead of away from the wall :-)
Did you know that there's a whole wikipedia page dedicated to this subject?

    1. I hate that too! (Including the facing toward the wall thing). And that is awesome about the Wikipedia page. I'm going to have to hunt that down.
