Black may not be the shade that comes to mind when you think of summer colors, but I've noticed that it's been a key part of my everyday outfits so far this season. I love the way that a flowy black dress looks paired with sandals and a big straw hat, or how an oversized black tunic worn with cut-off jean shorts and booties just looks so classic. Black is also an ideal canvas for adding in bright, vibrant summertime accessories. I'm majorly crushing on it right now, so for this edition of Color Love, I rounded up some of my current favorite black picks for summer.

I like black bathing suits. I have one and I feel like it hides my fat more than a colorful one. Although I have colorful ones too and I really like them. I think black is a good all year round color. Can't really go wrong with black.
ReplyDeleteBack when I used to work in the corporate world I wore a lot of black. I own a few key pieces in black for special occasions, but these days I LOVE wearing colour :)

I am the same way! I went through my clothes for summer and couldn't believe how much black I had. Will definitely need some colorful sandals or accessories to brighten it up.

ReplyDeleteI used to wear lots of black. Over the last year it changed some to darker shades of grey and blue, and I even own a couple of white shirts now! But I think black never goes out of style and isn't just for winter.
ReplyDeleteI wear either pastels or total black this time of year. I know it's kind of strange, but that's just how it always turns out even when I try to go for bright or neon colors.
ReplyDeleteBlack is a key colour in my wardrobe every season. It may not be the most obvious choice for summer, I admit, but there is nothing more chic than a well-executed summer black ensemble. I absolutely love the arrowhead necklace you featured, and the elegantly simple black bikini.
