My Latest Crush: VSCO Grid

VSCO Cam has been my favorite phone photo editing app (by far) for a couple of years now. I love all of the options it offers for editing, especially the way it allows you to apply as much of a filter as you like (I prefer subtle filtering). I use it to edit almost all of my Instagram photos, but I only very recently started using their publishing platform, VSCO Grid. It's different than Instagram in that it's not a social network, and instead is focused on showcasing creativity, beauty, and life through mobile photos. I love discovering people's work through it and just being able to browse and enjoy without likes, followers, comments, etc. I'm by no means a photographer, but I do choose only my favorite iPhone shots to upload to my Grid. It's like a minimalist photo album, free from worries about what anyone else thinks.

And no, this isn't a sponsored post. I'm just really enjoying playing around with it, and thought I'd share, for those of you who aren't already familiar. Also, a good friend of mine just started working for VSCO in November and has repeatedly told me what an incredible company they are, so I'm happy to promote. If you want to check out the rest of my VSCO Grid, you can do so here.

Who else adores VSCO Cam? Anyone else have a Grid? (Share your link in the comments if so!)

  1. I'm a lame-o who just uses Instagram for editing, haha. (Although, since the last update it's been way better.) I've been meaning to get VSCO Cam for a long time and I think you've finally pushed me over the edge. Your pictures look great!

    1. I still edit my regular photos with Photoshop on my computer too. I just use VSCO for just-for-fun phone shots. :)

  3. I have an insane obsession with VSCO Cam. It's my go-to app for editing and I mostly search through #vscocam and #vsco hashtags on Instagram to find really cool new profiles. I feel like it enables people to be more creative. It's so cool that a friend of yours works for VSCO, I wish I worked for them. I also created my VSCO Grid this year and I love it. Very cool community if you ask me :)

  5. I've been using VSCO since I got my iPhone, although I admit that for filters, my go-to app is PicTapGo (because truthfully, I really only like to brighten my photos.) I heard about VSCO grid recently and have to admit I've been intrigued, but I haven't taken the plunge just yet :)

  7. I'll have to look into this. I love the idea of making a quicker photo grid rather than using a grid and aligning in photoshop. :D

  8. I commented on your fb post, because I had downloaded this app so long ago, but I never used it (for some strange reason). I started trying it out this past December, and I LOVE IT. I noticed the grid on the menu, but I hesitated (because of all the social media platforms that I'm on already). But you're really encouraging me to go ahead and look into it.

Of all IG posts, some of my most favorites are absolutely the nature and scenery shots. It sounds like I might find a lot of that in VSCO grid. I'm definitely checking it out. =0)

    Thanks, Melissa!

  9. I love VSCO, but I've never signed up on VSCO Grid because I feel like I spend enough time playing about on my phone as it is. And I try not to pay too much attention to likes and follows anyway, but this does sound nice. :)

  11. I use VSCO to edit some of my Instagram images too but I don't really take advantage of the other features they offer. I should check the Grid out. :)

  12. I love the photos. Especially the doc and potted plants. I don't use my phone for photos and use photoshop for editing.
