Last month, I was gifted a wonderful subscription box from our pals over at Cosmic Box that contained the most beautiful pair of hand hammered petal earrings. I'd been wearing them daily for a couple of weeks when I received an email from the jewelry artist herself, Natalie at Bright Star & Buffalo, inquiring about teaming up for a giveaway. I was so happy that she contacted me, and I really enjoyed looking through their website and learning more about the company itself. And of course, I was thrilled to be able to offer my readers a chance to own some of their stunning creations as well.
Bright Star & Buffalo is a mother and daughter (Natalie and her mom, Kelsey) owned and operated business with a mission to create sacred adornment for the body, heart and home. They say that their creations are reminders that we beings are conduits of inspiration for ourselves, our loved ones and our world. (How beautiful is that?) Kelsey explains that the business was initially named after two miniature goats that were part of their family - Bright Star and Buffalo - one that was jet black with blue eyes and a bursting star of white on her forehead, the other a little buffalo, a rich chocolate brown with stripes of caramel colored fir beneath his eyes. Natalie states that from there, the name grew as the counterpart to herself (the Bright Star - an Eastern philosophy lover, Devotee, poetess, mala maker, yogini, conscious designer, reaching, shining, sparkling, creating light and movement and gift and warmth) and her mother (the Buffalo - a Western horse loving Colorado girl with soil beneath her fingernails, the copper maven, the metal smith, the grounded, solid, slow moving earth bound mama creating stability and wisdom and depth and nourishment).
Bright Star & Buffalo strives to recycle, up-cycle and re-purpose through their gorgeous work, which features jewelry and decor including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, wall hangings and more. Make sure to visit their website to view more of their unique, inspired merchandise and to learn more about their story.
