From Essley and Emmett to all of you, Happy (almost) Valentine's Day! I'm all about any holiday that celebrates love (and encourages the consumption of chocolate), and I'm looking forward to spending the weekend hanging out with these two and doing just that. I've alway been an overly enthusiastic dork about most holidays, and now that Essley is at an age where she understands them, they're even more fun. She and I made handmade Valentines last weekend for her grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins, and a special one for her daddy (who will be home from the band's tour for a couple of days on Monday). On Sunday, we'll dress up in red and make heart shaped cookies and read Valentine books. Emmett, of course, doesn't get it yet, but that won't stop us from smothering him with love too.
However you choose to celebrate (or not celebrate), I hope your Valentine's Day weekend is full of love. See you Monday!
