It's been a few weeks since I last stopped in just to say hey. So hey! Things have been going pretty well around here (well, aside from the election results, but I won't get into that), and we are so looking forward to Thanksgiving and then a vacation (actually a work trip for Robbie but the whole family gets to tag along, so it's a vaca to me!) to the Dominican next week. This is my busiest time of year for work, so even though Robbie has been off the road this month, which is absolutely wonderful, I haven't been able to spend much time with him or the kids. But that just makes me appreciate this weekend (and getting to do things like jumping in leaf piles, which as you can see above is a special talent of Essley's) and then our trip next week even more. It will be so nice to spend some time together as a family, especially since most of our lives since early August have been consumed by Emmett's diagnosis. Then we get back on December 5th and work craziness continues for me, along with holiday madness, and both kids' birthdays (and mine!) in the month that follows. I'm so excited for Christmas this year. Thanksgiving and the holidays take on a whole new meaning to me now. I am so grateful for how well Emmett is doing, and even with the long road we still have ahead of us, I couldn't ask for a greater gift.
I hope you are all doing well too! I love engaging with my readers and followers here and on Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat (@bubbyandbean), so please continue to comment and strike up conversation. It's genuinely my favorite part of being a blogger. Happy Thanksgiving week!
