Happy Holidays + A Little Break

Happy holidays, and happy end of 2016! (I don't think I've ever been more thrilled to see a year go away. I mean, go home already.) As we always do this time of year, Bubby and Bean will be taking a short break to unplug, celebrate Christmas with our families, celebrate Essley's second birthday, and ring in the New Year (and my birthday). Emmett's birthday is also coming up on the 9th, so it's a busy time around here. I love it though. I thrive on this kind of busy, when it means family and friends and good times. There's nothing better.

This will be Emmett's first Christmas, and after what he's been through this year, we are so grateful to be able to watch his wonder over the season. Essley is also indescribably excited about Santa this year (last year she wasn't quite 2 and he sort of freaked her out), and I cannot wait to see her reaction Christmas morning.

There will be a couple of posts next week, and then we'll be back for a brand new year on January 4th. Blogging has changed a lot in the past couple of years, but I'm seeing a resurgence and renewed spark among my blogging peers, and I'm looking forward to sharing some really cool things with you all in 2017. (But more on that later.)
