Hi! How are all of you? Blogging is a much different world these days than when I started, and people just aren't engaged like they used to be. I get a lot of comments and conversation on my Instagram photos, but the days of 30-50 comments on blog posts are admittedly way in the past. These days, a post with 10 comments feels like an anomaly. I am so grateful that our readership has continued to be so great in an ever-changing online climate where blogs just aren't as active as in the past, and I never want anyone reading to feel pressured to comment. But I'd love to hear how you guys are doing, what you're up to, what you have planned for the summer, a short introduction, or even what you'd like to see more of here on the blog. If you feel inclined, leave us a comment below. I promise I'll respond to each of them. Let's make some conversation, friends.
P.S. In reference to the image in this post, who else is a Daniel Johnston fan?

I've noticed the shift from my blog to Instagram too! I still feel people will come back to read my blog, because they can get more detailed information, even if they don't comment. That sign is so cute!
ReplyDeleteInstagram has definitely surpassed blogging the last couple of years. But I still feel like blogs are the mothership. I love reading blogs!

DeleteHi! I'm another one who comments on your IG posts but not on your blog. In fact I saw you talk about this on your IG stories which led me to here. I will try to comment here more often too! I'm Katie, I live in Boulder, and I love your fashion and DIY post and think you have the most adorable kids. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Katie! Thank you so much for stopping by and for the sweet words. :)
