I'm just going to be straight with you guys: I've never been a big fan of the process of showering. This doesn't mean I don't like to be clean; I shower daily, thank you very much. But I'm a working mama to 2 kids under 4, and showers take time. (Don't get me started on the hair drying, etc. that comes after them either.) I realize that this is probably something one shouldn't publicly confess ("Hey everybody, I don't like to take the time to bathe!"), but we're all friends here, right? And I bet I'm not the only person who feels like way. Showers can be a commitment, man.
That said, my bad shower attitude has been flipped (literally; I'll explain more in a minute) recently. And yes, this is a sponsored post, but the fact of the matter is that when I discover a product I really, really love, I want to share it. Even before I signed on to this campaign I was raving about this new product to my friends, and the fact that I get to share it with you guys makes it even better. So let me just get right to it and tell you more about my new shower bestie, Olay Foaming Whip Body Wash, and why I've gone from detester of showers to shower lover.
Olay Foaming Whip Body Wash is genuinely unlike any other body wash I've tried. This stuff is magical, guys. When I get into the shower, I rinse off, then just dispense a small amount of the foam on my hand. I only use a little (there are over 30 showers in each bottle), but it goes a long way. The lather is rich and creamy, but the best part is that it literally defies gravity - I can flip my hand over and it stays put. It's almost weightless. And the awesome thing about that is that I'm not spilling soap everywhere and having to get more and making a mess and stressing myself out (because it doesn't take much to stress me out these days, let's face it). I just use the one handful and wash my entire body, without the annoyance of drippimg soap. Then I do a quick shampoo, condition, and shave, and I'm done. My showers are shorter and more productive (which sounds silly, but trust me, that can be a major win when there are two small children yelling "MAMA" outside the bathroom door), and they're also more luxurious. Olay Foaming Whip is silky soft and smells incredible (Shea Butter is my favorite). I'm Melissa and I really like showers now. Thanks for that, Olay.
The other thing I love so much about Olay Foaming Whip is the way it makes my skin feel. The more I use it, the softer and smoother my skin becomes. It's really nice to get out of the shower and not feel so dry and stripped of natural oil that I have to immediately slather on massive amounts of lotion. My skin is less dull, feels refreshed, and smells really freaking good. My daughter loves the way I smell so much that she uses Olay Foaming Whip to wash her hands, so that, in her words, she "can smell delicious like mommy." Love that kid.
The older I get, the more I value the little things that make me happy. And if something that used to annoy me (and even stress me out) makes me happy, that's pretty fantastic. Whether you're a shower hater like I was or you enjoy them, I highly recommend checking out Olay Foaming Whip Body Wash. It's affordable ($4.99 at most retailers), and you can find it Meijer or on Olay's website. I'd love to hear what you think about it (and which scent you like best)!

Even without kids, showers for anyone with long hair - and the labour that comes after with hair drying and styling - can make them a major chore. Since I cut my hair earlier this summer, I find myself dreading the arudous task of showering less, because everything about it just goes so much more quickly now. In other words, hurray for anything that makes showering faster and easier!
